Returns & Sales Policy
Effective September 8, 2026
Grand Prix Motorcars, Inc. is an independent, Porsche-focused dealer. This page describes our position on returns, the documentation provided with each vehicle, and what we offer before a purchase to help you make an informed decision.
1. All Sales Are Final
Vehicles are sold as-is. We do not accept returns. We do not accept exchanges. All sales are final. There is no cooling-off period, and no return or exchange is available for any reason once a sale is completed.
The federal FTC Cooling-Off Rule does not apply to motor vehicle sales, and Oregon does not provide a statutory right of return for automobile purchases. Because a return is not available as a remedy after sale, we invest heavily in the pre-purchase process described below so you can evaluate the vehicle thoroughly before committing.
2. FTC Buyers Guide
An FTC Buyers Guide is displayed on and provided with every used vehicle we sell, as required by the Federal Trade Commission’s Used Car Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 455). The Buyers Guide identifies the vehicle, discloses whether it is sold as-is or with a warranty, and lists the major mechanical and electrical systems on the vehicle. The information on the Buyers Guide becomes part of the purchase agreement and overrides any contrary provisions in the sales contract.
3. Before You Buy
We support and encourage full due diligence before a purchase:
- Independent Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). You are welcome to arrange a PPI with any qualified independent inspector or shop of your choice. We will make the vehicle available for inspection during business hours and coordinate transport to a nearby facility where practical.
- Extended photography and video walkarounds. On request we will provide additional photos of any area of the vehicle you want to see (undercarriage, engine bay, wheel faces, interior wear points, panel gaps) and a video walkaround with narration.
- Documentation. On request we will share the window sticker (where available), CARFAX or AutoCheck history report, service records we have on file, and any prior inspection reports in our possession.
4. Deposits
A deposit reserves a vehicle and takes it off the market for other buyers.
Deposits are non-refundable. This applies whether or not the sale is completed, and regardless of the reason a buyer chooses not to proceed.
Because a deposit is binding, we encourage buyers to complete their due diligence first — inspection, documentation review, and any questions about the vehicle — before placing one. Our team will take the time needed. There is no pressure to reserve before you are ready.
5. Warranties
Unless expressly stated in writing on the Buyers Guide and in the purchase agreement, vehicles are sold as-is with no dealer warranty, express or implied. Where a remaining manufacturer warranty or a transferable third-party warranty applies to the specific vehicle, coverage passes to the buyer on the terms set by the warranty issuer. We do not extend, underwrite, or administer manufacturer or third-party warranties; claims and eligibility questions are handled directly by the issuer.
