Bay Area 992 buyers spec hard: factory PTS color, the right wheels, a manual on the Carrera T, the carbon-fiber roof and aluminum trim. The depreciation curve on lightly-used 992s has finally bent into a useful place, and we deliver into the Bay against that — a 992 that someone else paid the new-car premium on, in the spec you would have ordered yourself, with enclosed transport up I-5.

Climate & storage. Coastal humidity and salt air mean we recommend enclosed transport and a serious PPF spec for any car staying in the Bay; garage-kept cars do fine.

Delivery to San Francisco Bay Area. I-5 enclosed transport to the Bay Area runs 1-2 days from our base; for high-value cars we use single-vehicle enclosed and you sign for it at your driveway.

Drives north over the Golden Gate to Mt. Tam, south down Highway 1 toward Half Moon Bay and beyond, and east into the Sonoma backroads are the local 911-on-a-Saturday-morning routine.

About the 992

The 992 launched in 2019 as a meaningful chassis revision rather than a clean-sheet redesign. Wider body across all variants, a stronger structure, the 8-speed PDK, an interior redesign that pulled the dashboard layout back toward the classic 911 with a center tachometer and three flanking screens.

The 992.1 (2019–2024) covered the bulk of the deliveries — Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4 / 4S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S, and the headline-grabbing Dakar with raised suspension and rally graphics. 992.2 launched in 2024 with the T-Hybrid system on the GTS, refreshed front and rear treatments, and the manual gearbox returning on the Carrera T.

Pricing on the used 992 market is starting to settle as the cars come off lease in volume. Lightly used GTS and Turbo cars at meaningful discounts to MSRP — without the wait — are the value play right now.

What to look for

  • Spec — color, wheels, interior trim, optional aluminum or carbon-fiber roof. Original window-sticker matters on a 992.
  • Service-plan transfer status — many 992s are still inside Porsche's complimentary maintenance period.
  • Tire and brake wear on Turbo S and GT3 cars — these are consequential service items.

Why buy from us

We are an independent Porsche specialist. On the 992 cohort we focus on cars with thoughtful original specs and a clean ownership trail. Most of what we list is two or three years old with the depreciation already absorbed.
